Dear Parents, We all survived activities week! Those of us that went to Dibba had a great time and we were very proud of the children as they tackled all of the activities with amazing enthusiasm. We climbed and abseiled, we mountain biked up wadi’s, we swam and snorkelled, we stared at the stars and played games of bingo, we sang songs round the campfire, we visited the oldest mosque in the UAE as well as forts and abandoned villages. We ate, we slept (some of us more than others!) We managed to stuff sleeping bags back into incredibly small bags and we all returned and we were only away for 3 days! It was a very action packed, exhausting 3 days but we certainly made the most of it and we think we can honestly say that everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully you had a nice, restful, quiet time while we were away and possibly had a quiet weekend while we all got over the exertion! We have literally hundreds of photos, far too many to include in a newsletter but if you would like to see them then please do send your child in with a USB and we can either put all of the Dibba photos on there for you or just the ones from your child’s group. Why was the larger repeat 18? Why was the internal repeat 5? What did changing the pen colour by 10 do? What would happen if we took 'change pen colour' out? What would happen if we turned by 10 degrees and would we have to change anything else to get a full rotation from the shape?
Watch these videos and see if YOU can create these shapes and repeating patterns on your Scratch work.
