Thursday March 2nd is World Book Day and we will be celebrating it in Year 5. Children are encouraged to dress up as heroes and heroines from different books. The Year 5 teachers have been busy planning their costumes!! You will have received an email about a creative writing competition that children can get involved in. Further details are below. We can't wait to see what you look like on Thursday!

You should have already received some information about our exciting Year 5 Bake Off competition. We are hoping to crown the Bake off Champion in Year 5!
Please check your emails and talk to your children and please encourage them to get involved. The curriculum overview for this half term is below. This is where you can find out all of the topics and subjects Year 5 will be covering this half term. The maths curriculum was sent at the beginning of term as one document, if you scroll down you will find it in the below news feed.
We would like the children to take part in our photography competition to gain points for their Houses. The children need to take a photo of a coastline or the sea anywhere in the world and then print it out and give it to their class teacher. We will then display them and choose the best ones. The closing date for the competition is Thursday 13 April so that the children can take photos during the holidays. We look forward to seeing their entries. Details below.
The students in the sixth form are holding a concert on Tuesday 21st February at 6.00pm in the theatre which will showcase the talented students we have in our Sixth form. It is free admission but drinks and snacks will be sold in the interval. All of the proceeds will be going to the year 13 leavers celebration. Please see the flyer below.
